A look at what our programs look like in practice - from cooking and life skills to community outings and everything in between.
Cooking & Life Skills
Participants build independence through hands-on cooking and kitchen life-skills sessions - measuring ingredients, following a recipe, and preparing food as a group.
Yoga & Movement
Guided yoga and movement sessions support participants’ physical wellbeing, body awareness, and relaxation in a group setting.
Sports & Recreation
From basketball and scooters to the local pool, recreation sessions give participants a chance to stay active, build confidence, and have fun with others.
OT & Sensory Play
Occupational therapy and sensory equipment - like balance boards, suspended swings, and kinetic sand - help participants build coordination, balance, and sensory regulation.
Community Outings
Getting out into the community - visiting a farm, walking the local marina, or travelling together - helps participants build real-world experience and confidence outside the program space.
Group & Social Programs
Group activities build social connection, cultural awareness, and a sense of belonging - from shared learning spaces to group celebrations of what participants have achieved.
Employment Program
Nhanya Foundation’s Employment Program supports participants with mentoring, skills conversations, and multicultural awareness discussions to build pathways toward employment.
