If You're Experiencing Family Violence
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 000.
For family violence counselling and support, call 1800RESPECT (1800 737 732), available 24 hours a day.
Nhanya Foundation is not an emergency service, a refuge or a 24-hour crisis line. What we can offer is family violence support through advocacy, service navigation and practical support to help you understand your options and connect with the right services, including crisis accommodation pathways and family support - whether you're leaving an abusive relationship or facing another unsafe living situation.
Eligibility and Funding
Support can be accessed in a range of ways, including through NDIS funding (plan-managed or self-managed), other funding arrangements, or self-referral. Nhanya Foundation is a registered charity and is not an NDIS-registered provider. Ask our team about what's available and whether this support is the right fit for your situation.
If you need to speak with us in another language, call the Telephone Interpreter Service on 131 450 and ask them to contact Nhanya Foundation on 03 8595 9012. This service is available 24 hours a day, every day.
What Happens After You Contact Us
When you reach out, a member of our team will follow up to talk through your situation, and let you know what support may be available and any next steps. There's no obligation, and you're welcome to ask questions before deciding whether to proceed.
