Ways You Can Help

Volunteer opportunities vary depending on current need - here are the kinds of roles we look for.

Program & Activity Support

Assist our team during Day Program, Life Skills and Community Participation sessions - helping with activities, cooking, outings and one-on-one support.

School Holiday Program Support

Help supervise and support participants during our therapist-overseen School Holiday Program outings and activities.

Community Outings & Events

Support community outings, recreational activities and Nhanya events, helping participants get out and connect with their community.

Administration & Fundraising Support

Help behind the scenes with administration, fundraising activities or event coordination that keep our programs running.

Our Commitment to Safety

Nhanya Foundation is committed to the safety and wellbeing of every person we support, including children and people with disability. All volunteers are required to hold a valid Working with Children Check and complete a National Police Check before starting, along with an induction covering our Child Safe Standards.

Do I need a Working with Children Check to volunteer?

Yes. Volunteers working with children or NDIS participants must hold a valid Working with Children Check and complete a National Police Check before starting, along with an induction covering our Child Safe Standards.

Do I need previous experience to volunteer?

No. We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds. What matters most is a genuine interest in supporting our community and a willingness to complete the required safety checks and induction.
