Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What is the cost of the program, and what funding is accepted?

Activity fees range from Free to $20 depending on the scheduled day, which are out-of-pocket costs. Program support costs can be paid privately out-of-pocket or funded through eligible NDIS-funded supports. As a registered Australian charity (PBI / DGR-endorsed), all proceeds and surplus go directly towards supporting women, children, and young people facing domestic violence, hardship, and adversity.

Q. How do I book a place for my child?

You can easily reserve a place by submitting our online Registration Form. Once submitted, our team will get in touch to confirm your booking, discuss any specific support requirements, and finalize the schedule.

Q. Can I speak to someone on the team directly?

Yes, absolutely! We would love to chat with you. You can call our friendly team on 03 8595 9012 or email us at dayprogram@nhanya.org.au to discuss your child's goals, program details, or ask any questions.

Q. Are children allowed to stay with you, or does an adult have to accompany them?

Children will have dedicated carers and qualified support staff with them throughout all activities, ensuring a fully supervised, safe, and engaging environment. Parents and carers are also welcome to attend or discuss individual accompaniment preferences.

Q. Do the prices apply to everyone, or only to local residents?

Our program prices apply equally to everyone—there are no residency restrictions or location-based surcharges regardless of where you live.

Q. Where are the school holiday programs located?

Our programs take place across diverse Greater Melbourne venues — including areas like Doveton, Preston, Watergardens, Highpoint, Werribee, Bacchus Marsh, and St Albans — and can be accessed by families from any region.

Q. What are the drop-off, pick-up, and transport arrangements?

Pick-up and drop-off transport can be arranged upon request (subject to availability and location, with transport charges applying). We regularly assist families from Altona North, Brooklyn, Werribee, and surrounding western suburbs.

Q. Can you accommodate a specific location or design an individualised program?

Yes! If you have a specific location in mind or your child requires individualised 1:1 support or custom activities, our team can tailor and deliver an individual program specifically for your family.
